More than a decade ago, co-founders Dr. Andrew Weil and André Fasciola began developing relationships with our farming partners. As part of our Harvest to Whisk mission, they created an action plan to help more authentic producers continue their tradition of producing the highest quality matcha and importing the highest-quality matcha available, and providing tea lovers everywhere with the world’s best matcha tea.

We import only those products that meet our standards for color, aroma, and flavor. In 2007 we traveled to Japan and experienced traditional matcha & fell in love with it. We were determined to import the best matcha and share it with an appreciation for great quality matcha. We were astounded at the cost of ultra-premium matcha in Japan & realized that it was beyond the reach of many American consumers. We wanted to change that.
