The matcha tea ceremony represents a kind of artistic life, which concentrates on the art forms of tea ceremony, calligraphy and painting, flower Taoist, incense Taoist and zen. Matcha is a green tea powder, also known as "mocha," which originated in the Tang Dynasty. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Zen masters Suen Sen-ichi and Dae-ying introduced matcha to Japan, where it was used in the tea ceremony, brewed thick as bean soup and stirred with the brush used in the tea ceremony until a large amount of foam was produced. Finally, the tea was poured into each bowl and handed to the guest to drink. For over 500 years, bamboo has been used to create the traditional Japanese tea whisk. Conventional metal whisks leave you with bitter tasting tea. We honor that tradition using high-quality bamboo to create our authentic matcha tools.

The set includes a matcha whisk, tea scoop, matcha bowl with pouring spout, matcha powder caddy, ceramic whisk holder, tea cloth, tea cloth holder, scoop holder, and matcha powder strainer. Our products do not include matcha powder.

First, wipe the bowl clean. Use a bamboo scoop to take two or three scoops of matcha from the matcha power caddy and sift it into the bowl. Then pour the boiling water into the matcha bowl, mix the matcha powder and water with the whisk, and stir to create a fine and dense foam to taste the authentic matcha tea. After enjoying the matcha tea, fill the matcha bowl with hot water to clean the whisk, and finally put it on the whisk holder to dry.

The tea cloth is used to wipe matcha tools or to wipe the spread of matcha and can also be placed under the matcha tool as a decoration. The scoop holder keeps the scoop clean and prevents it from leaving matcha powder residue on the table. The matcha powder strainer filters matcha powder to screen out fine matcha, making matcha tea taste more delicate and dense.
