The matcha tea ceremony embodies an artistic life, focusing on the art forms of the tea ceremony, calligraphy and painting, flower Taoist, incense Taoist, and Zen. Matcha, also known as "mocha," is a powdered green tea that originated in the Tang Dynasty. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Zen masters Suen Sen-ichi and Dae-Ying introduced matcha to Japan. It was prepared thick as bean soup and stirred with a brush until a large amount of foam was produced. The prepared matcha was then poured into bowls and served to guests.

For over 500 years, bamboo has been used to create traditional Japanese tea whisks. Conventional metal whisks leave behind a bitter taste. We honor this tradition by using high-quality bamboo to create our authentic matcha tools. Bamboo is harder than maple wood, yet lightweight, making it the perfect resource for our Matcha tools.

First, wipe the matcha tools clean. Then, use a bamboo scoop to take two or three scoops of matcha from the powder caddy. Next, pour boiling water into the matcha bowl, mix the matcha powder and water with the whisk, and stir to create a fine and dense foam for an authentic matcha tea experience. Slowly stir with a teaspoon and savor the traditional matcha tea. After enjoying the tea, fill the matcha bowl with hot water to clean the whisk, and finally, place it on the whisk holder to dry.
